Already last week I had problems with my mouse. The right button didn’t wanted to work. So yesterday I really got tired with it. And easy, get a new mouse, and voila, done. Nope. Also the same problem. So, trouble shooting, searching the I*net nothing could give me an answer. Ok, M$ installation repair can bring help. I’m sure it can, but not for me. I received the 34 minutes bug.
And no, in spite of all the beautiful and wonderful tips and tricks I couldn’t solve it. So, I installed M$ on another hard disk and went for the painstaking trouble of creating backups. I am customer to do a backup, say every three months, but that’s not good enough if you depend on it. It took me two hours of careful thinking what everybody needed. Cause the children really don’t like it if they lose their high scores etc.. I can imagine that.
Ok, now (23:30) I have Windoze up and running again. Mainbord drivers in place. M$ update is doing it’s shizzle. (after several reboots in between).
23:38 downloading IE7 because windoze update doesn’t want to run on this clean installed machine. A well, once a year two nights of trouble to get it done…. I musn’t complain.
0:52 restored Elianne’s and Cathalyn’s account. Also Marielle’s account and mine. I so love Firefox & Thunderbird. It’s so easy to restore them. Installing antivirus now. And then I leave it for today. Offcourse Windoze automatic update still doesn’t work, but who cares?
