Illegitimi non carborundum is a fake latin phrase. On one of the forums I visit, this phrase came up…

The translation is “Do not let the bastards grind you down”. That is one of my favorite sentences from the U2 Album “Achtung Baby”.

Btw: The proper latin, according to google, would be: “Noli nothis permittere te terere”.
